This quad is so awesome!!! I flew it right out of the box! Well, after charging the batteries of course. It is my first quadcopter. I thought I start out small before I go get the bigger quadcopters. I flew it three times before writing this review. The LED is good and helps with orientation. The batteries charged up fairly quick. I was able to get 5mins of flight time per charge. Flight dynamics are responsive enough for me to hover. I did however calibrated the copter a few times before flight. I adjusted the trim as close as possible to where it did not fatigue my fingers. It has a small controller, I must say it is functional but really small. I am getting better remote controller, the Habsan X4 TX. I did a lot of research and it gave me the same results, get the Habsan X4 TX. I did ordered it before writing this review so I should it really soon. I might give this review another update. Overall, this quadcopter is adequate enough to learn on. I highly recommend getting this or similar if your going to get more expensive quadcopter like the DJI Phantom V2 or better. I'll get mine when I master these tiny monster! :)

This is a great flying little quad, although it has been fairly windy since this has been delivered I have still enjoyed it, it does fair in light wind but it is a very light little machine and a gust of wind will pick it up and carry it away fairly quickly, It's a tough little bird though, I hung it up in a tree yesterday and instead of freaking out I looked and saw how it was hooked to the tree then I flew it right off the branch fairly easily, then instead of getting hung up even further up the tree I let it fall the rest of the way down, it smacked just about every branch on the way down and really don't even have a scratch on it.

The camera is a fairly decent little camera although I upgraded the MicroSD card fairly quickly, the 1gig card fills up pretty quick. I use a USB cable to copy the video files to my computer instead of taking the SD out every time I'm sure taking the card in and out so much will wear it out fairly quick.

The remote is great, it feels comfortable in hand and has digital trim settings and a digital readout showing throttle setting, remote battery life, trim settings, camera settings, etc, it also has the 360 inversion button you can tap to make the quad do flips, be sure to have some altitude before doing this a be ready to hit the throttle again to keep the quad from hitting the ground, you can also use the top left button for this, press it and when it starts beeping you can tap you rudder controls up, down, left, or right ta make it flip in the direction you like, this is a little more fun than just the 360 inversion.

Other than that there is not much more I can say about this Quad other than I love it, I do plan on building my own quad in the future and this is giving me some great training on the physics of a quad and how to fly one.

Let me add that some proper care an manteinence of your LiPO batteries will make them last long, There are many videos on Youtube on proper care of your batteries but here are some tips.

* Your batteries will come from the factory charged, but not fully, Charge them fully before flying.

* Do not run your battery down all the way, leave about 20% power in the battery, you can purchase voltage alarms that will buzz at a specified

voltage.

* after flying wait about 15 minutes for battery to cool down before re-charging.

* when putting batteries up for storage do not fully charge them, charge them about 80%.

** UPDATE **

12/18/2013 - A much as I hate to say because I enjoy this little quad, the left rear motor is burnt out and the quad will not fly anymore, I could replace the motor but I believe that at the pricemark that these quads are priced the motors should last longer than this So I am shipping it back for a refund, I hate that I have to do this because it was a fun little copter to fly... I'll take away one star from my review because I really

did enjoy this quad.

I will update this review in a month or so to let you know how everything is going.

To correct the description, it actually needs 6 AA batteries.

I wanted an inexpensive off road R/C vehicle that didn't cost much over $100. I'm not planning on racing, just something for the yard and driveway. Well, this fit the bill perfectly. It will crawl over grass, sidewalks, sand, small animals, almost anything that gets in it's way. It does exactly what you think those cheap R/C trucks SHOULD do but don't. I drove it in the rain and through shallow water and it did great. The only downside so far is the whine of the motors but it probably geared to heck to do all that it does. I paid less for it at Wally World so shop around.

+ two motors

+ true four wheel drive

+ AA batteries (not some battery pack that is hard to find)

+ good value for the money

+ good tires and suspension

- motor/gear whine

I ordered this helicopter along with 3 other helicopters. 3 from Syma and one off brand helicopter. I ordered multiple helicopters because the only ones I have flown have been 2 channel and if one broke I would have backup. I ordered the Syma S107 and S105 at the same time, and the S107 arrived first and the S105 arrived the next day. On my frist flight of the S107 I was suprised how stable and smooth the flight was. The box says 14 and up but I think anyone could control this helicopter. It goes up, down, left, right, forward, and backwards, all at a balanced speed thats good for indoor flight. It is not too slow to be boring or too fast that you can't controll it. The trim button on the controller is pretty much not needed because it does not spin out of control. I still havnt adjusted the trim after about 20 flights. Also, both Syma helicopters are VERY durable since they are made of metal and hard plastic. The blades are also durable. There are some differences in the S107 and S105. The S105 is slightly wider and slightly longer. It also has two LED lights on each side and one in the front, a total of 6, which can be cool or annoying, it just depends on preference. The s107 has a single light on the front. The S105 seems to spin out more than the S107 and is more difficult to trim. This is an obvious flaw that was addressed with the newer S107, because it does not spin out at all. They both can be charged with the controller or through a USB port on your computer which is good if you don't want to waste your batteries on your controller. They both use 6 AA batteries in the controller. Both helicopters are extremely durable and have been crashed several times. My only complaint with them is the flight time is only around 5 minutes, although I don't have anything to compare it to because the other 2 helicopters I ordered are still not here yet after about a week and a half. Also, the only option for shipping is standard shipping. Overall I would recommend the S107 over the S105 because of the trim issue with the S105, but both are excellent helicopters and they are a very good price.

CUSTOMER REVIEW

review

I am a dedicated flyboy and subscribe to the all the RC helicopter magazines. I have built my own "large scale" multirotors including a 700mm Hexcopter. I say this so you know that I consider this a serious hobby and I have a lot of experience in it.

This is the smallest and one of the most fun multirotors I've every played with. It's 2"x2" and flies WAY better than you'd expect anything that size has a right to. The gyro keeps it very stable yet it's very quick when you press on the sticks.

The controller is a full 4 channel 2.4ghz digital radio transmitter. This is not some cheap infrared transmitter that you can't use with the blinds up. It responds quickly to the controls and there is a "trim" option on the right stick (Though with the gyro you'll actually never want to use that.) The sticks are very stiff, but with a bit of working them in you should be able to loosen them up.

Flight time is about 4-6 minutes and charge time is about 40 minutes with the included USB charger. There is no removable or replaceable battery so you can't swap batteries to keep flying. However, anyone with soldering experience could modify it for a micro li-po battery such as used in the M-cPX enabling you to dramatically increase flight opportunities. (Do not try this if you're not sure you're capable of it because Li-pos can be dangerous.)

It has some very bright LEDs to provide orientation. Red in the back and Blue in the front. They also serve to warn you of dead batteries and will flash when it's time to land.

Some Caveats:

This is a toy, there are no replacement parts available, when you break it (and trust me, even complete pros will eventually) your only option is to buy a whole new one. The arms holding the motors are part of the main circuit board and are not replaceable or repairable if you damage them.

It's for indoor use only. You cannot take something this size outside and expect it to be in any way reliable.

While this is a toy, it's not for children. I'd put the minimum age for this at 13. Period. This is not something to buy for a 6 year old, as it wont last more than a day in their hands.

Finally, the transmitter requires 2 AAA batteries which are not included in the box. Make sure you include batteries if giving it as a gift.

Update:

Almost 4 months into owning this wonderful little quadcopter, I finally experienced a crash bad enough to damage it. After the crash, the board was bent. I very carefully bent it back and it still flies. The attached LED however no longer works and it does have a slight spin that wasn't there before. That said, it's still one of my favorite quads and I still love it. I just wish even more than I could get replacement parts of it. Still recommended and I do not change my opinion one bit since I knew going in that eventually this would happen. 4 months without replacement parts is very good for anything that flies.

I purchased one for my 13 year old grandson for a birthday present. I spent a couple of hours experimenting with the Flipside. I found it very difficult to fly indoors with no wind. The controls are not linearly progressive, that is, you have to move the controller well off center to get any change and then it makes large changes. Flying indoors was not possible for me. Flying outdoors has not been tried but if there is any wind the difficulty would be multiplied.

The description says there are beginner and expert settings. There are no instructions anywhere on how to make these adjustments. I have not been able to make such adjustments. I posted a question on the site and there were no responses.

I would not purchase this item.

Buy USPS Forever Stamps Star Spangled Banner 90 Stamps (5 x ATM Sheet of 18)

USPS Forever Stamps Star Spangled Banner 90 Stamps (5 x ATM Sheet of 18)

Product Description

Size: 18 stamps

Issue Date: February 1, 2014 The Star-Spangled Banner has been a treasured American icon ever since Francis Scott Key celebrated the sight of an American flag still flying over Fort McHenry during the War of 1812. This stamp commemorates the 200th anniversary of the Star-Spangled Banner with a photograph of the flag that flies over Fort McHenry National Monument and Historic Shrine in Baltimore. This flag is a replica of the one that inspired Key to write "The Star-Spangled Banner" after Fort McHenry withstood the British attack of September 13-14, 1814. Photographer Gary Clark took the picture of the flag against a backdrop of fireworks during an annual celebration of Defenders' Day. Defenders' Day, according to the National Park Service, is "Baltimore's oldest holiday commemorating the bombardment of Fort McHenry and the writing of 'The Star-Spangled Banner.'" Clark said it was a challenge to get the fireworks and the flag in the same shot and that "the wind picked up quite a bit that night." Art director Phil Jordan designed the stamp. The Star-Spangled Banner stamps are being issued as Forever stamps. Forever stamps are always equal in value to the current First-Class Mail one-ounce rate. This is for 1 sheet of 18 stamps
